Lately, I have been craving yoga. On one hand, I am running more and actually liking it again. My legs are getting a bit stronger, as are my heart and lungs. I have knocked off a minute per mile. Still, I long to feel that openness I felt with dance, and that I feel to an extent with yoga. My emotions are more balanced, as are my energy and appetite, when I am practicing yoga.
Right now, I am not doing what I am passionate about. I am not doing something that keeps me up at night wondering and researching, pondering, exploring and hypothesizing. I have had those periods in my life, and they were amazing. I came across this quote tonight, and it sums it up so well:
‘When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bounds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.’
